The village of Prassas is located only 6klms east from the city of Heraklion and a few minutes drive from the International Airport. It is built on a hill with new houses and villas. It is considered a suburb of Herakllion with residents all year round. In the square of the village one will find small stores and the bus stop for the city of Heraklion. Prassas is a known small village that used to be a base of the Kilikian pirates. Today, it is an important tourist and famous artists attraction, mainly for its stunning panoramic view.
