Agios Ioannis is a small coastal village 8 km south from Kapetaniana mountain village at Asterousia mountains. There is a series of beautiful beaches, like that of Agios Ioannis and others, along the coast down from Kapetaniana towards Koudouma Monastery (90 min), but they are difficult to reach and only the very fit should undertake such a walk.
