Μυγοσπηλιά ή Καμμένη Σπηλιά

The cape of Kolimpithra (20km northern of the town of Tinos) consists of five beaches. The best known are Megali Kolimpithra and Mikri Kolimpithra.

The rough winding conditions on the area of Megali Kolimpithra, makes it totally unsuitable for swimming. The beach of Mikri Kolimpithra is considered one of the visitors’ favorite since it is organized with umbrellas, sun beds and beach volley facilities. There are many restaurants, hotels and the camp of Leontios.  The other three beaches Mantroklisi, Apothikes and Palio Agio Filakto are rather small, sandy and wind-sheltered. They are ideal for those of you who crave for relaxation.

The bay of Kolimpithra is a natural sea basin and a declared wetland where rare species of birds, turtles and other animals live. In the middle of the bay we can see Drakonisi.

Ο Δρακόλακας.
Βρίσκεται 4 χλμ. περίπου ανατολικά του χωριού Πλατιά και 1 χλμ. περίπου νότια του κόλπου Βαθύ. Ο επισκέπτης εισέρχεται από μια διάβαση βραχώδη και ανώμαλη και κατεβαίνει σε βάθος μερικών μέτρων, όπου βρίσκεται σ’ ένα θάλαμο αρκετά ευρύχωρο, που καταλήγει σ’ ένα λάκκο.

The village of Kalloni is located to the northwestern part of the town of Tinos. Olive trees, fruits, vegetables and lovely artichokes are flourishing on the beautiful house yards. Visit the church of Agios Zacharias which offers panoramic view of the village and of the beach of Kolimpithra.

The settlement of Aetofolia is built on the skirts of a mountain, just 1km away from the village of Kalloni. It is typical of the fine traditional Cycladic architecture. You can visit the church of Agios Ioannis, the Folkloric Museum and the pottery and ceramic workshops.
