Λάπιθος, χωριό στο οποίο μένουν μόλις 25 κάτοικοι (απογραφή 2011), επίσης παλιό και ιστορικό χωριό κάτι που μαρτυρά και μια πηγή με ημερομηνία 1779. Πιστεύεται πως το όνομά του πήρε από τους αρχαίους Λάπιθες, θεσσαλική φυλή της ελληνικής μυθολογίας συγγενική με τους Κένταυρους.
