Daskalevri

16 km from ierapetra, at an altitude of 860, with magnificent views, traditional houses. The settlement was built in 860 metres altitude offers ideal conditions for the cultivation of vineyards, and this was the main reason for its development. First recording demographic made in 1940 with 3 inhabitants, but in reality, then just like today the settlement was inhabited predominantly during the summer months, from residents of the lower village of ierapetra, creating over the years ever and best resort.

Attractions:
Cha gorge and mountains of Thryptis, t ' "Aori", as they are called by the locals with rich vegetation and many rare species of animals and birds. The Church of Afentis Christos at an altitude of 1476m. overlooking the sea, the Dodecanese Kassos, the Libyan Sea and the provinces of Ierapetra and Sitia.

The gorge of Mesonas formed between the mountain Kliros (1331m.) and Mount Papoura (1010m.) and connecting the springs of  the Milonias with the entrance of the Havgas gorge. The total length is 4Km, and the elevation difference is 455m.

This is a relatively narrow gorge with vertical walla, full of water during winter. Slopes are covered with oaks and maples.

A narrow serpantine shape cobbled path runs through the canyon (ideal for hiking all seasons) and old aqueduct carrying water from Milonias Springs to the Kavousi Village.

It is ideal for canyoning by following the course of water.
