Giola is located at the south part of Thassos island.
This pool is called Afrodite's tear, according to a legend, Zeus created the pool for her so she could swim in it.
According to another legend, the pool is an eye with which Zeus oversaw his mistress.
Giola is rather a natural swimming pool with emerald green waters, carved into the rocks, than a beach.
The depth of this beautiful natural pool is only about 3 meters, so be cautious when plunging from a height.
Remember to bring with you water and food, since the place is quite remote.
