Ο οικισμός του Αργουλιδέ, αποτελεί έναν μικρό οικισμό έκτασης 109,5 στρεμμάτων που χαρακτηρίζεται για την αξιόλογη θέα του προς την περιοχή του Βόθωνα και την εύκολη προσβασιμότητα σε αυτόν από την εθνική οδό (οδικός άξονας Χανιά - Aεροδρόμιο) . Ιστορικά, ο οικισμός αναφέρεται πρώτη φορά στην απογραφή του 1881 , αλλά πιθανότατα να είναι πολύ παλαιότερος εξαιτίας σχετικών ενδείξεων των κτισμάτων του αρχικού πυρήνα του οικισμού.
