The Municipal District of Garipas is today made up of the village of the same name, and another settlement; the village Drapeti. In the past, in the place of the current village, existed two settlements; Pano and Kato Garipas, as well as a village that today has disappeared, named Katsikali.
In the rearrangement of the countryside that was attempted by the last Venizelos government of 1928, Katsikali belonged to the community of Kalyvia up until 1940, when finally it was included in the community of Garipas. A unique remnant of the village today is its name. The villagers in any case remember that the building materials of Katsikali were transported to the surrounded villages and mainly in Garipa to be used again.
