Στην περιοχή της Χρυσοπηγής υπάρχει το σπήλαιο Θεργιότρυπα, όπου βρίσκεται μια μεγάλη σταλακτιτική στήλη ύψους περίπου 6 μέτρων, που φαίνεται να παρουσιάζει μορφή, σαν να περιελίσσεται σε αυτή φίδι και έτσι δημιούργησε τον θρύλο ότι στο σπήλαιο παραμένει θεριό, μεγάλο φίδι, πού κατάπινε ζώα και ανθρώπους.
