Μέρη κοντινά με Αγία Μαρίνα
Οι Γωνιές (ή Γωνίες) είναι χωριό και πρώην κοινότητα της επαρχίας Πεδιάδας στο Δήμο Χερσονήσου του νομού Ηρακλείου, με 500 περίπου κατοίκους. Αποτελεί επίσης ξεχωριστό Δημοτικό διαμέρισμα, με μοναδικό οικισμό το ίδιο το χωριό. Η θέση του είναι στους δυτικούς πρόποδες της Σελένας (σε υψόμετρο 1.559 μ.) στο 40ο χιλιόμετρο του δρόμου προς το Οροπέδιο Λασιθίου. Οι κάτοικοι ασχολούνται κυρίως με την ελαιοκομία.
Οι Γωνιές έλαβαν την ονομασία τους από τη θέση του χωριού, καθώς βρίσκεται στην ανατολική γωνιά της Λαγκάδας. Η αρχαιότερη αναφορά στο χωριό χρονολογείται στα 1333. Μαζί με
την Κερά αποτελούσαν φέουδο του Λατινικού Πατριαρχείου της Κωνσταντινουπόλεως.
Το χωριό βρίσκεται 16,5 χλμ από το Λιμάνι Χερσονήσου στις ρίζες των Λασιθιώτικων βουνών μέσα σε ελαιώνες. Είναι στην είσοδο των φαραγγιών της Παναγίας και της Ρόζας από τα ωραιότερα φαράγγια της Κρήτης, ένα περιπατητικό μονοπάτι ενώνει τις Γωνιές με την Κερά μέσα από το φαράγγι της Ρόζας. Φυσικές ομορφιές ανταμείβουν τους επισκέπτες μαζί με τα φιλόξενα αισθήματα των κατοίκων που σε κάνουν να νιώθεις δικός τους άνθρωπος.
Κρατά ακόμα το χαρακτήρα του αυθεντικού κρητικού χωριού. Παράγονται λάδι, κρασί, τσικουδιά και άριστα κτηνοτροφικά προϊόντα
