Windsurf, waves and wind ! The best beach for incredible leaps, waveriding and windsurf. A northern beach located in Panormos Bay with amazing water and sand. From the western side of the beach the landscape seem like a lagoon especially when there is no wind. The beach is divided in two parts by rocks leading to the seashore.
Prehistoric settlements of the Neolithic era where found here, dated from 4,500 BC.
In the same position is likely to be accepted by the prehistoric period and the tomb of Aianta of Lokrou, hero of the Trojan War, worshiped in Mykonos.
To get there, follow the road to Ano Mera, and then the signs to Ftelia. Part of the road is asphalt.
Along the beach and on the laneways road that leads there, there is space for parking of vehicles.

Those looking for a more relaxing beach experience can head to the northern side of Mykonos, where a cozy bay forms Panormos Beach, and a cove protects the area from high winds. Less developed and harder to reach than the other beaches, Panormos Beach has fewer accommodations and fewer visitors. The quiet beauty of this beach does attract a regular crowd that enjoys the beach volleyball area and the shaded taverna. Stroll along the white sand or enjoy a walk in the surrounding countryside.
