Aposelemi Gorge starts at one kilometer south of Aposelemi wetland and ends at the area called Kserokamares in Kalo Chorio district It is 3800m long, and is one of the most precious natural ecosystems that exist in Gouves municipality. It contains a plethora of fauna and flora and has some very interesting geological formations. 

Upon the rocky cliffs of the gorge, birds of pray lay their eggs, while the geological diversity and fertility of the earth promote the growth of lush vegetation.

At the south exit of the gorge an old bridge stands, which was used in the past to cross the river, facilitating access between the communities living in the region.

Over the last few years Gouves municipality has been promoting conservation in the gorge and protecting wildlife in the region.
